ADAPT4Autism is a non-profit organization that provides services and programs for children and families in Southwestern Illinois affected by autism spectrum disorder and other neurological disabilities.
 
2015 Summer Programs 
 
ADAPT4Autism Day Camp  

SIX WEEKS - 12 Sessions

Tues & Thurs | June 16-July 23 | 9AM-3PM

PRICE: $300

ADAPT4Autism brings you an 6-week, 12 session Day Camp experience for children 5 years of age and older. Our day camp will provide your child with a wide variety of activities and destinations. Day camp activities are theme-based and parents will simply drop off their children in the morning and pick-up at the site at the end of the day. Day camp experiences will focus on building friendships, socialization within the community, and enriched living. Each day camp session will conclude with a 1-hour Art, Rhythm, and Music program led by a board certified music therapist and a local artist.

  • Art is Awesome
  • Out in the Garden

  • Transportation is provided for sites that are not easily accessible to parents.
 




   Aquatic Training



PRIVATE, 30-MINUTE SWIM INSTRUCTION

PRICE: $120

Private Swim Instruction is designed to improve water safety skills, stroke development, attention, muscle strength, balance, tolerance to touch, and behavior regulation. Through a sensory integration approach to learning, and a discrete trial lesson format, children will work with a Red-Cross certified swim instructor to meet the requirements for leveled progress. Lessons are one-on-one in the safety of a comfortable private swimming pool. Your child and the instructor will be the only swimmers in the water during instruction.

 Camp ADAPT
ADAPT4Autism in partnership with Camp Wartburg is proud to again present a fun and exciting camp experience for children on the autism spectrum or those suffering from other neurological disorders. 

Camp ADAPT will provide children with autism all the amenities of a normal summer camp experience.
  There will be hiking, horseback riding, crafts, swimming, music performances at the large outdoor amphitheater, sporting opportunities, and much more.  Campers will engage in these enriching activities in a safe and understanding environment. 

The director of Camp ADAPT is Autism Specialist and founder of ADAPT4Autism Chris Gibson-Cipfl, MAED.
  Chris has over 15 years experience serving children with ASD and their families.  Chris provides private therapy for children with ASD and is employed by Belleville Public School District #118 as their Autism Consultant. In addition to Chris and camp staff, there will be two medical staff present at all times during camp.  All medication or specialized medical needs can be accommodated.    All staff assisting at camp are specifically trained to meet both the physical and psychological needs of all campers in a manner that is dignified and respectful.
